IBN BATTOUTA – ابن بطوطة

Ibn Battouta spent around 30 years of his life traveling around the world, encountering different figures and learning about cultures and traditions. His journey started at the age of 21 where he decided to head to Mecca for pilgrimage. He continued on to Jerusalem, Persia, Iraq, Yemen, Ethiopia, Mogadishu, India, and several other countries and returned home to Morocco at the age of 50. Ibn Battouta worked in several professions during his travels and left a great book behind.
